DENNIS DEARING
PRODUCER / GUITARIST
Mission Statement:
To Live For Christ In All Things
To Serve Artists By Facilitating Their Ministries
To Encourage The Body To Truly Walk In Their Gifting
And Talents To The Glory Of God
For over 30 years, Dennis Dearing has invested his professional life within the music industry in Nashville, TN. After graduating from Belmont University with a Music Business degree (BBA), he began touring as a guitar player with various Christian and country artists. (Geoff Moore, Charly McClain) His days home were filled with studio sessions where he performed on numerous #1 singles over the years that eventually led Dennis to the other side of the sound board.
In 1996, Dennis opened his own recording studio, Menace Music, in Franklin, TN where he became sought after as an engineer, producer, and performer. Producing music in a variety of genres, his name has appeared on dozens of projects by major labels. Working and performing directly with notable artists and Grammy Award winners like: Natalie Grant, Mathew West, Mandisa (American Idol), Hillary Scott (Lady Antebellum), Jay Demarcus & Gary Lavox (Rascal Flatts), Joy Williams (The Civil Wars), Sara Evans, Kathy Troccoli, Travis Cottrell, Nicol Smith Sponberg, Todd Smith (Selah), Lisa Bevill, The Martins, and David Phelps.
Dennis is an in-demand clinician and judge for events like GMA Music In The Rockies / Immerse, Inspire, Encore Entertainment Music Seminars, Indie Heaven's CIA Summit, Puckett's Rising Star Songwriter Competition, Embassy Music's Ultimate Talent Search and the annual Write About Jesus conference.
One of the most echoed reviews by artists and songwriters who have recorded with Dennis, is how comfortable he is to work with, and while using their vision, drives the production value & artistry to the next level. "Dennis has an unusual knowledge base when it comes to artists and songs. His many years immersed in the music industry is evident, but only surpassed by his desire to encourage and inspire artists and songwriters..." says Wally Nason of Nason Music Group (Artist Management)
After many years working with new and established writers and artists, Dennis has chosen to devote his time to the independent musician who is in need of mentoring and direction. Dennis is quick to note, "nothing is more satisfying than being a part of making someone's dream come true. Maybe it's their first song recorded or their first song on the radio. Either way, it's a privilege to be a part of what God is doing through their music."
